"I only speak Spanish"

There was this amazing season of Ezraisms where Ezra had decided that he was going to only listen to Danny GO! in Spanish. I was working at my parents house one day and Ezra was in the living room rocking out. It sounded familiar but wasn't 100% sold on what I was listening to. I came out of the room on my ten minute break and said "What are you doing, bud?" and he said "Danny GO!" and I said "that doesn't sound like Danny GO! and he said "It is, I just only speak Spanish now"

And for an entire couple of months, Danny GO! was only listened to in Spanish. Ezra would walk into the room and say "Hola!" He would talk in gibberish so much and when I would ask what he was saying he would tell me it was Spanish. For a hot minute, I actually believed that he had somehow channeled some ancestors I didn't know about (I have no Spanish heritage, no clue on "dad's" side).

I did use ChatGPT once when he was babbling and asked him to decipher and he said that it seemed like silly talk and that it was really funny. Sure! Until I recognize a word.

He made up a word "poo-cheh-toss", which was either the best of the best superheroes or it meant you had REALLY pissed him off and now you were a "baddie". Jury is still out on that one.

I am still considering teaching all of us Spanish...it would actually help me out a lot at work and then Ezra could ACTUALLY speak Spanish.

It did make another debut this week while we were running errands and from the back seat Ezra is singing in goof troop and I asked what he was singing and he said it was a "baddie song in Spanish".

Will we learn? Still a toss up. Is it entertaining AF? Absolutely!
